Giles Bidder

101 Part Time Jobs is a music interviews podcast where artists tell their
unfiltered stories of survival: the indie-spirited and music-led version of Diary
Of A CEO. The podcast is a mainstay of Spotify Music Podcasts, Apple Podcasts’
Top 10 Music Interview shows, and has been featured by BBC 6 Music’s Craig
Charles afternoon show, Kerrang! and Music Week.

The podcast sees Giles Bidder (The i Paper, NME, Soho Radio) host engaging
conversations with diverse musicians, exploring the taboo topic of how musical
artists make a living. The often surprising jobs they’ve had is a prism through
which to explore the grit and perseverance it can take for our favourite
musicians to ensure that the show can go on, in the face of an increasingly
difficult industry to make a career in.

The British music industry contributed £4 Billion into the UK economy in 2022.
However, there are only 6,000 working musicians in the UK; and nearly half earn
less than £14,000 a year. In this podcast celebrating DIY and grassroots culture,
Bidder asks headlining and emerging artists the questions that nobody else is
asking, creating a space where musicians can be vulnerable.

Over 300 guests have appeared on the podcast, including IDLES, Self Esteem,
The National, Big Thief, DMA’s, Yard Act, Neil Finn, Bob Vylan, Jamz Supernova,
English Teacher, Kurt Vile, Baby Queen, Feeder and many more.
