Kit brings vast operational hospitality experience to his role at GigPig, where he leads a team responsible for establishing and expanding relationships with bars, clubs and restaurants across the UK. Previously holding national roles for Asahi Breweries and Red Bull, he has spent many years working with hospitality venues to host memorable festival and event experiences. Kit adds a unique perspective to the board, having first-hand insight into the challenging operating landscape facing venues and an understanding of effective ways to boost revenues through live music offerings. Hailing from the North East, Kit is passionate about challenging the status quo in a largely unregulated sector and creating a fair music industry which enables artists to make a living from doing what they love. Advocating for new and emerging artists cutting their teeth in ‘seed’ venues, he believes the GigPig model helps nurture talent to become successful gigging artists, helping them navigate pitfalls and challenges which often prompt musicians to leave the industry. In the coming years, Kit will be leading the commercial team at GigPig to widen the platform’s presence in venues across the UK and Europe.
